Captain
Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs Missing Treasure

Giles Andreae and Russell
Ayto have teamed up again to produce another fine tale of Captain Flinn and
the Pirate Dinosaurs.
Young Flinn and his friends
go to see the dinosaur skeletons at the museum . Whilst there they are shown
the bones of the giganotosaurus who was even bigger and more ferocious than
the mighty Tyrannosaurus. They also see the empty glass case that "used to
hold the treasure of the famous pirate Captain Rufus Rumblebelly." A trail
of feathers lead the children to a cupboard and into a great swashbuckling
adventure.
Shivering timbers, gleaming
treasure, a battle with the dinosaur pirates, and a final confrontation with
the dreaded giganotosaurus all help make this adventure irresistible.
But what happens when
he meets the giganotosaurus? You'll have to find out for yourself. There's
even game of Snakes and Ladders right at the end of the book - just the thing
before bed.
This is a great picture
book that will really appeal to boys, after all, what could be better than
mixing pirates and dinosaurs... I wish I'd thought of it myself. *****
